  • Current Mammoth Middle School 8th graders, and returning Mammoth High School students (grades 9 - 11): Want to join the Mammoth High School Alpine Ski or Snowboard Racing team next year but afraid of the cost? Talk with MHS Alpine Director Chris Leonard about signing up individuals to eScrip to reduce team fees. Mr. Leonard will deduct $10 from team fees for every person that an athlete signs up. 10 eScrip sign-ups is a $100 discount, 15 signs-up is a $150 discount, 20 signs-ups is a $200 discount, etc. Every winter athlete has the chance this summer to sign up enough people to waive all team fees. If you are interested in starting up a ski or snowboard team for your high school, please send someone to the CNISSF spring coaches meeting. The meeting is Friday, April 25, at 10am at the Auburn Ski Club (Boreal Ski Area).

Attendance at this meeting is encouraged for any school that wants to join South Division Two and race against Mammoth, Bishop, Lone Pine, Sultana (Wrightwood) and Rim of the World (Arrowhead). The high school racing league consists of SL and GS competitions as well as halfpipe competitions. The division is looking into adding a X-course competition for boarders and skiers next season also.

Divisional races are scheduled at Mammoth Mountain, with the good possibility of a race in the Big Bear area. Don't miss out on this one! For more information, contact Chris Leonard (South Division Two coordinator) at 760-934-8541 ext. 425 (work), 818-288-3271 (cell), or Or, show up to the meeting.
